Linda-Cristal Young (she/her) uses her camera to document the communities she supports, especially the moments of true connection in performance. Her images of local drag, burlesque, and personal portraits and performances are known for their vivid color, humanity, and breathtaking moments. Recently she’s been published with several photoessays in the New Haven Arts Council Paper, and has shown her photography in the OUTwork shows at City Lights Gallery, Bridgeport. Winner of Best Photo Essay (division 3) from CT Society of Professional Journalists in 2025 for her article on the Greater New Haven Visibility Ball. She is proud to have photographed New Haven Pride, Bridgeport Pride March and Festival, New Haven Black Pride, the stiltwalkers of Starseed Circus, and Scandalous Saturdays Burlesque. In addition to her photography, Linda is mom to two teens, works backstage as a theater electrician, supports her local yarn store with yarn bombs, and finds joy in connecting with others. Originally from the SF Bay Area, she calls New Haven, CT home. Linda is available for hire for live events and on site photography.
