Kåsso Made is a New York–based visual and fashion artist with roots in New Haven, where he built early recognition through widely known custom-painted garments. His work blends bold color, layered textures, and intentional linework, drawing from cubist principles through fragmentation, abstraction, and shifting perspectives. With over two decades dedicated to his craft, Kåsso bridges street culture and contemporary art—creating one-of-one works across canvas and garments that capture movement, identity, and lived experience.

Artist Statement

My work is driven by intention, movement, and energy. I use bold color, layered textures, and fragmented linework to create pieces that feel alive—balancing structure with spontaneity. Each mark is deliberate, building compositions that reflect identity, emotion, and lived experience. Coming from a background in custom work, I approach both garments and canvas as surfaces for transformation. My goal is to create one-of-one pieces that people can connect to visually and emotionally.
