The Academy for Teachers is excited to partner with Foundation House for a unique artist residency this summer, designed for teacher-artists seeking time and space to create. This 10-day residency offers eight educators a chance to recharge and pursue their art in a peaceful, supportive environment. Residents will receive housing, studio access, three meals a day, and a $500 honorarium. Foundation House, a nonprofit center focused on wellness, the environment, and social justice, welcomes creative educators from any artistic discipline to apply. This opportunity provides a space to foster meaningful dialogue around these important issues. Apply now to join a community of like-minded artist-teachers! Proposals from teachers with established artistic practices in any of the visual, written, and performing arts will be considered. Applicants must be teaching full time, with no imminent plans for retirement. Priority will be given to teachers who are Fellows of the Academy for Teachers. The residency runs from Friday, July 25 – Sunday, August 3, 2025. The deadline for the application is Sunday, March 16, 2025, and candidates will be notified of any decisions by early April.
