For artists living and working in New York City: Columbia University's Zuckerman Institute is seeking an artist to produce commissioned work for our "Art in the Education Lab" program. We are looking for an artist who will work with us to invite and inspire local community members to explore science through an artistic lens. Budget: $10,000 (inclusive of all costs related to the project) Deadline: January 13, 2024 (11:59pm EST) All media are acceptable (including visual, audiovisual, digital, and installation art) We particularly welcome submissions from artists in Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx. We are strongly committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, and encourage people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, differently-abled and neurodiverse persons, indigenous peoples, youth, seniors, and women to apply.
