East Haven Fall Festival Arts Exhibition

Now Proudly On Display The East Haven Arts Commission offers an open call to artists from East Haven and the surrounding communities for its 2024 art exhibition at the East Haven Fall Festival. This year, our theme will be “Now Proudly On Display”. For the last few years, we have produced exhibitions of artwork made by residents and fond visitors to our town that have been available to view on our Town Green. A call for artists for our show is at heart request to have an exchange of ideas and passions, literally and figuratively, in our Town Square. This is the time to show us the artwork you have made that makes you feel proud of your artistic accomplishments. Our exhibition is meant to reflect the diverse perspectives and approaches to art making in our community, so all 2-D media are acceptable for consideration. For any 3-D artwork, please be sure that the item is able to be freestanding on a table or pedestal if it cannot stand on the ground itself. We have space for 32 artists. Each artist will have one 4' x 7' wall that they are free to fill. We suggest submitting no more than 5 pieces for review. All artworks will be exhibited as part of the Fall Festival on the East Haven Green on Saturday, September 7th . Please include a high-quality jpeg file of each individual work with your submission. The submission closing date is August 24th. Submissions must be delivered ready to hang (either framed and with wire attached or matted to be hung). Works on paper should be matted and able to be hung with nails or screws. Any 3-dimensional works must be self-supported and be easy to transport in the event of inclement weather. This year, we are asking artists to drop off and pickup their artwork at the East Haven Green on the day of the show- September 7th. All artists must read and agree to our disclosure for submission.
