East Haven Public Television (ETV) announces a new contest, open to members of the public, to design the sign that will be added permanently above the entrance to their new Community Media Center, at 230 Main Street, East Haven, CT. The contest is open to the public, and entries will be accepted from Friday, March 31st, until Friday April 28th, at midnight. Five finalists will be selected, and announced along with the overall contest winner, during the Great Give, this coming May 3 & 4th, 2023. "We're super excited to see what designs inspire us, surprise us, and delight us." said Jay Miles, ETV Board Chair. "We can't wait to display the winning design for our sign, literally above the door to our new facility." Currently on the ETV website are more details, guidelines, measurements the newly revised ETV logo, icons, and the required font (available for download) at https://www.easthaven.tv/sign-contest . Contestants will be asked to complete a brief Google Form (bottom of page) with their contact information, and then submit their design entry to etvcmc@gmail.com , by the deadline. Membership at ETV is not required. However, all five finalists will enjoy a year of free membership at ETV, and the winner will receive a free two-year membership with ETV (no cash prizes will be awarded). The contest is open to anyone in the Greater New Haven / Shoreline region, and students, artists, and independent designers are encouraged to submit (One entry per person. Submissions from professional companies such as ad agencies, design firms, etc., will not be accepted). "ETV has transformed into more than just a cable access station", said Miles. "We've crafted a Community Media Center, with a wide range of activities, services, training, and opportunities for content creators across the entire region, and this contest is an extension of, and a celebration of, that sentiment."
